Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Shop Assistant located in Ingham, QLD. The Shop Assistant will be responsible for various day-to-day tasks such as greeting customers, assisting with selecting and purchasing products, managing stock levels, and ensuring the shop is clean and well-organized. Additional responsibilities include handling cash and card transactions, restocking shelves, and providing excellent customer service. The role may also involve preparing and serving food and beverages.

Qualifications

  • Customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with cash handling and retail sales
  • Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
  • Ability to work in a team and independently
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Flexibility with work hours, including weekends and holidays
  • Previous experience in a similar role is beneficial
  • Interest in seafood and specialty food products
