Shop Manager / Senior Barista – Pour Baby Café (Carlton, Sydney)

We're looking for a hands-on
Shop Manager / Senior Barista
to help lead the team at Pour Baby Café — our growing local spot in Carlton known for great coffee, good food, and genuine service.

About the role

You'll be the heartbeat of the café — opening and closing each day, running service with confidence, and keeping everything smooth. You'll work closely with the owner to uphold standards, build a great team culture, and create the kind of experience people come back for.

What you'll do

  • Open & close the shop; manage cash & keys
  • Prepare consistently great coffee and lead front-of-house
  • Support and train staff for standout service
  • Oversee stock, ordering, and daily operations
  • Maintain a clean, calm, efficient workspace

What we're looking for

  • 2+ years' café/barista experience (specialty preferred)
  • Reliability, initiative, and leadership
  • Ability to work autonomously and take ownership
  • Great communication and a positive attitude
  • Valid work rights in Australia
