Chisholm is seeking an experienced and student-focused Victorian Pathways Certificate (VPC) Teacher for our Senior Secondary Business Area.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Chisholm's Senior Secondary College is a registered Non-School Provider (NSP), delivering the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE), Vocational Major (VM) and Victorian Pathways Certificate (VPC), and primarily educating young people (aged 16+) who have left school early for a variety of reasons. Chisholm also offers an adult VCE program, supporting all students to continue with completion of their secondary certificate and transition into post-school pathways.
As a teacher - VPC, your key responsibilities include:
- Plan education practices and delivery sessions that reflect the most effective way to engage learners, adapting strategies outlined in the Victorian Teaching and Leaning Model 2.0 and giving consideration to individual, targeted and universal engagement strategies.
- Develop and deliver planned teaching sessions in a variety of innovative and adaptive ways, using technology, including Moodle, to engage learners and meet their needs and learning styles
- Design and develop high quality teaching and learning resources including tailored materials in a range of formats to suit varying learning styles
- Ensure that teaching materials and resources meet all regulatory standards including Victorian Curriculum Assessment Authority (VCAA) VCE, VCE-VM and VPC course, curriculum and delivery requirements
- Establish and maintain a positive learning environment, including encouraging students to take responsibility for their own learning
- Adapt learning and assessment materials to cater for different students, learning environments, facilities, and resources
- Undertake a range of administrative, coordination, and learning services activities directly related to the areas taught
- Assist in relation to the establishment, maintenance, and review of teaching programs
- Maintain a respectful, and safe environment free from discrimination, bullying and harassment
ABOUT YOU
You are a highly motivated individual with well-developed skills in transferring knowledge, including the ability to research, select and use a wide range of learning resources and assessment tools.
Qualifications required for the role:
- Approved tertiary qualification in Education with major studies in a relevant VCE discipline or disciplines
- Registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT)
- Professional currency as required by the Victorian Institute of Teaching
