About the Role

We are looking for enthusiastic and caring people, with a genuine interest in a career in aged care, for a part-time traineeship opportunity with IRT. This position is available in our Aged Care Centre at IRT Peakhurst.

This exciting program is for a minimum of 24 months, and includes undertaking a Certificate III Individual Support, delivered by ITeC Academy, whilst gaining on-the-job experience and secure employment in a rapidly growing industry.

    Able to commit to a minimum of 20 hours per week (combination of work and study), availability Thursday as this is an allocated study da- y
    A big heart – you're empathetic, adaptable and have a passion for supporting older Australians to live their best life possibl- e
    A passion to begin your career in the aged care sector
    Flexibility and availability to work shifts that include weekends, late afternoons and evening- s

To be eligible for a traineeship candidates must:

Be living or working in NS

  • W
    Be an Australian citizen or permanent resident
    Must not have already completed or started studying a Certificate III in Individual Support or similar (higher qualifications in a like role such as Certificate IV or Bachelor make you not eligible for this traineeship- )
    Have basic internet knowledge and ready access to the interne- t
    Be able to use a computer and have basic digital literacy skill- s
    Have basic reading and writing skills to answer assessment question- s
    Own a computer/device to be able to complete course requirement- s
