Salary Range: $70,000 - $75,000 plus superannuation

Your Role Will Involve:

• Crafting and assembling vehicle bodies with precision.
• Transforming raw materials into functional and aesthetic masterpieces.
• Reading and interpreting technical drawings to ensure accurate builds.
• Employing a range of techniques from MIG welding to sheet metal fabrication.
• Ensuring the quality of your work meets our high standards.
• studying blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine job requirements
• selecting, cleaning and preparing metal stock
• cutting marked-out metal sections and shapes using hand tools, metal cutting machines
• shaping and bending metal sections and pipes using hand and machine tools, and by heating and hammering
• aligning parts to be joined using hand tools and measuring instruments
• joining metal sections using various welding techniques, bolting and riveting
• examining welds for width of bead, penetration and precision
• cleaning and smoothing welds by filing, chiselling and grinding

What We're Looking For:

• Trade qualification in Boiler making, Steel Fabrication, or Vehicle Body Building. Alternatively, 3+ years of hands-on experience in related fields.
• A keen eye for detail and a commitment to excellence.
• Punctuality, reliability, and a strong work ethic.
• Proven problem-solving skills and a track record of producing quality work.
• A team player with a positive attitude.
