Our Project and Program Delivery (PPD) team strategically partners with clients to improve their likelihood of success by addressing challenges in developing and delivering major infrastructure projects and programs of work. We provide integrated project management, project controls, planning and design, and contract compliance, governance and assurance advice—using data-driven tools and methodologies to increase the probability of success at every stage of the project and asset lifecycle.
PPD is embedded within KPMG's Deal Advisory and Infrastructure [DAI] group, a national team of global infrastructure specialists. Our differentiator is our experience across all aspects of the infrastructure project life cycle and our close connection with KPMG's wider specialised services, offering unique opportunities to work together on a broad range of clients and industries to further deepen and strengthen client relationships.
Job Description
Your Opportunity
As an Associate Director, you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional outcomes for our clients across diverse sectors, including government, energy, water, transport, social infrastructure, mining and more.
What You'll Do
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients - designing, building and implementing delivery models, solving complex problems, and leading delivery teams.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships often as an embedded engagement team.
- Provide technical program and project subject matter expertise across multiple sectors.
- Identify and mitigate risks in delivering major capital infrastructure programs.
- Prepare compelling proposals and expressions of interest that showcase KPMG's capabilities.
- Grow a portfolio of consulting work with both existing and new clients.
- Lead and develop a high-performing delivery team.
How Are You Extraordinary?
- Skilled in reporting and insights, including forecasting, cost control, risk planning, governance and assurance.
- Recent experience in integrated project controls (cost, schedule, risk, contingency, change control, document management), for infrastructure projects.
- Proficient in industry-standard planning, cost, and project management tools (e.g., Oracle Primavera P6, Lumivero @Risk, Safran Risk, CostX, , Acumen Fuse/Risk, ACONEX, Microsoft Project MSP).
- Proven track record in business development and consulting, ensuring successful client deliverables across multiple projects and/or PMOs.
- Strong PMO experience including expertise in writing project and program documents including plans, frameworks and procedures and other delivery related artefacts
- Previous consulting and advisory experience is highly regarded.
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Engineering (civil, structural, mechanical), Architecture, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or Project Management.
