THE FORKLIFT OPERATIVE ROLE (morning 6.45am to 2.45pm OR afternoon 3.00pm to 11.00pm) has responsibility for:

  • Operating forklifts and other lifting equipment to pick and store stock or load finished food items to delivery trucks
  • Check pallet labels : Quantity, expiring date, and store name are correct
  • Monitor pallet amounts & ensure correct numbers
  • Ensure that picking slips are correctly completed
  • Ensure housekeeping of the storage area is to standard and the packing area is clean at the end of the shift
  • Complete the recording and maintaining of inventory, advising the imports received and items exported
  • Manage stock takes – liaising with the kitchen team.
  • Assist the packaging team to ensure their duties are fulfilled.
  • Keeping a people safety and food safety focus

The successful candidate will have the following:

  • Valid LF Forklift License
  • Experience working in a fast paced warehouse or manufacturing environment
  • Good Verbal and Written Communication skills – to liaise effectively with the Dispatch and other departments
  • Developed interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach working with cross functional teams
  • Positive and self-motivated with the ability to work in a team environment
  • Be computer literate to undertake administrative tasks as required
  • Ability to work in a high pressure, fast paced environment

The successful candidate will have the right to work in Australia
