Senior Minister

Skills and Qualifications:

ž Ordained Minister

ž Bachelor of Theology & Master of Divinity

ž Minimum of five years' experience in a Senior pastoral role

ž Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to communicate and work effectively with people of differing cultural and professional backgrounds

ž Korean language fluency is required

Responsibilities:

ž Providing spiritual leadership to the congregation by scheduling and leading the planning of worship and other services and performing officiant duties.

ž Coordinating and providing Christian education and discipleship, together with the appropriate staff and congregational members. This may include teaching (e.g. in Bible study, membership classes etc.) and, training leaders.

ž Providing and/or coordinating pastoral care to the congregation including counseling, visitation (homes, hospitals, nursing homes etc.), and ministering to the bereaved as well as those with other needs.

ž Administration of the total congregation mission and ministry of the congregation and execution of all congregation by-laws and policies, including overseeing the staff, resources, budgets and program direction together with the Board, Diaconate, committees, and other lay leadership.

ž Performing marriages, funerals and special memorial services according to tradition and ecclesiastical and civil law.

ž Preparing and delivering Holy Communion services and/or any required church's special or ceremonial occasion services to the whole church congregation members.

ž Along with other members of the congregation, the Senior Minister shall maintain, liaise with, and participate in activities of denominational and ecumenical organizations.
