Work Location:*
Christmas Creek - Fortescue's Christmas Creek mine is located on the traditional lands of the Nyiyaparli people.

Roster:
7D/7N/7R (2/1) or 7D/7N/14R (2/1) - FIFO ex Perth, Broome, Karratha, Fitzroy Crossing, Kununurra or Port Hedland.

Fortescue is seeking experienced Mining Operator who have operated some or all of the following equipment in a mining environment:

  • Liebherr 9400, Liebherr 996, CAT 6040 or Terek 340.
  • D10T/D11T Dozer
  • CAT 854K Wheel Dozer
  • CAT 994H/K Wheel Loader
  • CAT 349D Rockbreaker

As a skilled Mining Operator, you will be responsible for operating mobile equipment at maximum efficiency, while maintaining safety, environmental and heritage standards to achieve required operational targets for the business.

  • Maintain assets to operational capacity
  • Constantly strive to increase process efficiency
  • Demonstrate behavior that aligns with Fortescue values
  • Comply with Zero Harm principles on a daily basis

Qualifications And Experience

  • Ability to skillfully operate some or all the equipment above
  • Mobile equipment operation in the mining industry is essential
  • Ability to read mine plans
  • Knowledge of Mine Safety & Inspection and OHS Act Regs
  • WA Class HR Driver's License
  • Communication and interpersonal skills - two-way operation
