We are seeking a Network and Systems Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, implementation and maintenance of network and system infrastructure. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure secure, scalable and high performing IT environments that meet client requirements and industry standards.


Responsibilities will include:

· Design, configure, and deploy scalable and robust computer networks—including Local Area Networks (LANs), Wide Area Networks (WANs), and wireless systems—in alignment with organizational objectives and industry best practices.

· Administer, monitor, and maintain both physical and virtual server infrastructure to ensure high availability, optimal performance, and reliability across all systems.

· Implement and manage comprehensive network security frameworks, including firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems (IDPS), VPNs, and secure access controls, to protect organizational data and systems from cyber threats and unauthorized access.

· Troubleshoot and resolve complex network and system issues efficiently, minimizing downtime and ensuring continuity of business operations.

· Monitor and analyze network performance, proactively identifying bottlenecks and optimization opportunities to enhance efficiency and ensure uninterrupted data flow.

· Plan and execute network upgrades, expansions, and technology refresh initiatives to support evolving business requirements and maintain infrastructure currency.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software developers, IT support personnel, and business stakeholders, to understand technical needs and deliver effective infrastructure solutions.

· Maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations, system architectures, troubleshooting procedures, and infrastructure changes. Generate regular performance and security reports for management and audit purposes.

· Develop and maintain data backup and disaster recovery plans to ensure data integrity, rapid restoration, and business continuity in the event of system failures or unforeseen incidents.

· Stay abreast of emerging technologies in networking and systems administration, evaluating innovations for potential implementation to enhance infrastructure performance and resilience.

· Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance on Data Centre infrastructure and ensure the optimal functioning of mechanical and environmental systems.



Requirements

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

· Bachelor's degree in information technology, or related field

· At least 3 years of experience in network & system engineering role

· Excellent problem solving skills

· Attention to detail

· Excellent communication skills;
