Position: Marketing Assistant

CODE BLACK COFFEE is rapidly growing 

We're a Melbourne-based specialty coffee roaster, retailer and wholesaler with seven locations across Melbourne, and we need a motivated Marketing Assistant with strong graphic design skills to join our small team

Role Responsibilities:

· Work collaboratively with our Marketing Manager and Social Media Manager to implement new opportunities and digital initiatives across the Code Black Coffee Group

· Provide graphic design support to the wider team through creation of website, social media, eDM graphics and other assets through Canva and the Adobe Suite

· Get creative with social media by producing engaging content—think graphics, editing and creating reels, and capturing moments at our locations across Brunswick, North Melbourne, South Melbourne, and the CBD

· Manage social calendars, schedule and publish posts using social media tools.

· Track performance metrics across channels, and share key insights with the team and recommend content optimisations

· Engage with followers, manage comments, DMs and mentions across platforms, and proactively engage with aligned brands and creators to help grow our community

· Update content and product listings on our e-commerce websites

· Assist with copy writing of monthly and promotional newsletters and blog content

· Liaise with photographers

· Assist in implementation of promotions and provide admin support to the Marketing Manager

What you'll bring:

· years of hands-on experience in a similar role

· A proactive, can-do attitude and a strong desire to learn and grow

· Strong Adobe Creative Suite skills

· Great organisation skills, you're detail-oriented, and confident managing multiple tasks at once

· Great written and verbal communication skills

· Ability to work independently and manage your time well

· A qualification in Marketing, Communications, or Graphic Design is desirable

Details:

· This is a permanent onsite part-time position of 4 days per week, (Monday – Thursday)

· All working days are on-site in our HQ in Brunswick, with plans to move to North Melbourne - with all you can drink coffee at your fingertips
