Sonnel is on the lookout for a dynamic casual team members to join us at one of North Sydney's most iconic venues — where vibrant culture, and unforgettable guest experiences come standard.

We are adding to our team ready to gear up for the Summer Season and roles on offer are -

  • Bar & Gaming Attendants
  • Kitchen Hands
  • Chef De Partie

Firehouse Hotel is our newest addition to the Sonnel Hospitality Group, which owns and operates multiple venues throughout Sydney. While we've been established in the hotel industry for over 30 years, we're always expanding — creating ongoing career development and promotion opportunities for those who show positive intent, respect, and a willingness to learn.

Located in the heart of North Sydney, this 1895 heritage-listed fire station has been transformed into a stylish, two-level venue with a reputation for excellence.

What You'll be Responsible for in the Kitchen

  • As a CDP you will be competent in all aspects of pans, grill and larder work
  • An excellent team player
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role
  • Flexible availability
  • Have the ability to work under pressure during peak service times
  • Possess excellent knowledge and demonstrate a passion for food
  • In the kitchen-hand role you will assist chefs with food preparation, keep the kitchen clean and organised, operate dishwashers, and ensure cookware and utensils are ready for service

What You Bring to the Table in the Front of House roles

  • Current Valid RSA/RCG/Advanced RCG Compliance certificates
  • Strong customer service skills are essential coupled with a fun and outgoing personality.
  • Flexible availabilities as there will be varying shifts each week
  • Cocktail making ability and general alcohol knowledge
  • Gaming service and knowledge of gaming machines
  • Minimum 1 – 2 years' experience working in hospitality/pubs and clubs
  • Experience is highly regarded in all roles including the kitchen hand & CDP roles but willing to train the right candidate
