About the Role

WA Cutting Services is seeking a motivated and reliable General Hand to join our team on a casual basis. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, values safety, and wants to be part of a supportive team in the steel processing industry.

You will be an essential part of daily operations, helping to keep things running smoothly and efficiently. Whether you're assisting machine operators, moving materials, or keeping the workspace clean and safe — your work matters.


Key Responsibilities
  • Assist machine operators with simple, repetitive tasks under supervision
  • Operate forklifts and overhead cranes safely (training available if required)
  • Load, offload, and handle materials as needed
  • Grind, clean, and file steel materials
  • Maintain a clean and hazard-free work area
  • Perform daily equipment checks and report issues
  • Follow instructions from supervisors and work closely with the team

What We're Looking For
  • A current forklift license
  • A strong work ethic and positive attitude
  • Ability to follow instructions and work both independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to learn and grow in the role
  • Understanding of workplace safety
  • Flexibility to work on afternoon shifts if required
  • Basic knowledge of steel and plate processing (advantageous but not essential)
