We're seeking a creative and detail-oriented Learning Resource Designer to join our Training Services team and help shape engaging, compliant, and accessible learning experiences for our students.
About the Role
Reporting to the Training Services Manager, you'll design and develop high-quality learning and assessment resources aligned to training packages and compliance requirements.
You'll configure and maintain content within our Learning Management System (LMS) (aXcelerate), adapt purchased resources into SCORM/xAPI packages, and collaborate with trainers and compliance teams to ensure materials are effective, engaging, and audit ready.
This is a fixed term, part time role (0.8 FTE) at 4 days per week until 30th June 2026.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and develop compliant, high-quality learning and assessment resources.
• Build interactive eLearning modules, multimedia content, and quizzes.
• Map assessments to units of competency and maintain validation, moderation, and version control.
• Configure courses, assessments, and workflows in aXcelerate (or equivalent LMS).
• Adapt purchased resources into SCORM/xAPI packages for LMS integration.
• Support trainers with resource guides, training, and troubleshooting.
• Use LMS analytics to monitor learner engagement and recommend improvements.
Essential Criteria
• Demonstrated RTO instructional design experience, with proficiency in Articulate Rise/Storyline, Captivate, and SCORM/xAPI export.
• Practical experience configuring courses and assessments in aXcelerate (or equivalent LMS).
• Strong knowledge of assessment principles, including mapping, validation, and moderation practices.
• Excellent writing, editing, and multimedia design skills with the ability to make content accessible and engaging.
• Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
• National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
• Child Protection Training (or willingness to complete)
Desirable
• TAE40116 (or equivalent) and tertiary qualifications in Instructional Design or Adult Education.
• Experience designing for cohorts with additional learning needs and creating accessible content.
