About the Opportunity

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the Paediatric Medicine team as a Clinical Nurse – , where you will be responsible for:

  • Delivering expert, person-centered paediatric nursing care through telehealth and home visits, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and external providers.
  • Assessing and managing individual care plans, ensuring effective therapeutic interventions and monitoring patient outcomes daily.
  • Providing clinical leadership on shifts, guiding less experienced staff and supporting seamless patient flow within the team.
  • Collaborating in service planning, quality improvement, and change management initiatives to enhance care delivery and operational efficiency.
  • Supporting clinical education, mentoring students and new staff while contributing to research, audits, and development of clinical protocols.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, holding or eligible for a current practicing certificate.
  • Minimum of 3 years full-time equivalent post-registration nursing/midwifery experience, demonstrating clinical competence.
  • Proven experience in guiding student nurses, enrolled nurses, and less experienced registered nurses
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize workload, and collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, healthcare standards, quality improvement systems, and contemporary nursing/midwifery issues.
