Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Support Worker located in South Hurstville, NSW. The Support Worker will be responsible for delivering high-quality care and assistance to individuals with disabilities. Daily tasks include supporting clients with personal care, helping them participate in community activities, encouraging independence, and implementing tailored support plans. The Support Worker will assist with household tasks, provide companionship, and promote overall well-being.

Qualifications

  • Personal Care and Assistance: Basic care skills and experience with personal care tasks.
  • Community Participation: Ability to facilitate and encourage client participation in community activities.
  • Support Planning: Experience in developing and executing individualized support plans.
  • Communication and Empathy: Strong communication skills, empathy, and the ability to connect with clients.
  • Household Management: Skills in managing household tasks and supporting daily living activities.
  • Relevant Qualifications: Certificate III in Individual Support or similar qualification is preferred.
  • Flexibility and Reliability: Ability to work flexible hours and adapt to the needs of clients.
  • Valid Driver's License: A current driver's license is beneficial for assisting clients with transportation needs.
