Mental Health - Casual Pool Registered Nurses – Residential Program, Rehabilitation - Helensvale

ACM Healthcare is on the lookout for multiple Registered MH Nurses to join a pool of dedicated staff working within a residential program. The role includes providing medical oversight to the residential program both at admissions and to guests onsite implementing a high delivery of clinical care. There are a mixture of shifts available ongoing.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Comprehensive Assessments: Perform detailed nursing evaluations to determine clients' physical, emotional, and social needs. This involves reviewing medical histories, measuring vital signs, assessing pain levels, and evaluating functional abilities.
  • Individualised Care Plans: Work closely with the interdisciplinary team (physicians, therapists, social workers) to create customised care plans that cater to clients' specific needs and rehabilitation objectives.
  • Treatment Delivery: Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, including injections, wound care, and other specialized nursing interventions.
  • Monitoring and Documentation: Continuously observe patients' health status, including vital signs, pain levels, and responses to treatment. Accurately and thoroughly document client care in the electronic medical record.
  • Education: Instruct clients and their families on the client's condition, treatment plan, self-care strategies, and the importance of following rehabilitation recommendations.
  • Support: Offer emotional support and address the anxieties and concerns of clients and their families with empathy and compassion

MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • At least 3 years + experience as a Nurse
  • Computer and telephone skills (email, Microsoft Word document etc)
  • Current AHPRA registration
  • Current Driver License
  • Current Police Check
