About the Opportunity

Are you a skilled CNC Machinist looking for your next challenge?

Join our team at B&S Engineering in Cheltenham. We're a precision machining company with a reputation for quality, and we're on the lookout for someone who's confident with CNC machines and takes pride in their work.

This is a full-time position working across CNC lathes and 3 & 4 Axis Machining Centres. The role involves manufacturing precision components for the mining, aerospace, and medical sectors, including the production of our own proprietary mining parts. You will be working to tight tolerances, delivering high-quality solutions for specialised applications.


What You'll Be Doing

  • Running a variety of CNC machines, including lathes and multi-axis machining centres
  • Using CAD/CAM software to program and optimise machining operations
  • Reading and interpreting technical drawings and job specifications
  • Setting up, programming, and machining components to tight tolerances
  • Carrying out quality checks and making adjustments when required
  • Ensuring machines and tooling are maintained for smooth, reliable operation
  • Working closely with our engineering team to refine and improve processes
  • Contributing to a clean, safe, and productive workshop environment

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum 2 years' experience as a CNC Machinist
  • Confident in machine setup, programming, and operation
  • Strong problem-solving skills and sound mechanical knowledge
  • Ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings
  • A commitment to accuracy, safety, and producing quality work
  • Proficiency with CAD/CAM software and or G-code programming
