About the role:
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Workplace Trainer & Assessor to join the Group People & Culture team in our Pork Division
Reporting to the Team Leader Training Delivery, this role will be responsible planning and delivering of training programs as well as acting as the SME in design and validation of learning material across our pork farming operations.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Planning, conducting and recording assessments
- Providing training, advice and guidance to students throughout their learning experience
- Delivery of learning using a variety of methods including classroom, virtual, on-site and general discussions
- Identifying areas for improvement and advise recommending changes as required
- Act as the first point of contact for student support
- Supporting students to ensure they understand what is expected of them
- Identifying learning needs and working with site to determine possible solutions
- Providing additional assistance where LLN/disability is identified and requires reasonable adjustment
- Completing regular validation of learning materials, as the subject matter expert
- Reviewing and updating any inconsistencies within assessments and training materials
- Tracking progress of students
- Planning future training sessions both classroom and virtual
- Assisting in scheduling training and assessment of students based on site requirements
- Checking accuracy of paperwork and ensuring student requirements are met
About you:
- A highly motivated individual with a passion for the food industry and a passion for working with people
- Previous experience in a pork farming operation in the areas of Handling, Housing, Feeding necessary
- Must have or be willing to complete a current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
- Experience in carrying out routine health care and involved in moving of pigs.
- Natural ability to support others and encourage learning
- Strong customer service focus
- Strong computer literacy skills including MS word and outlook
- Demonstrated ability to work both autonomously and within a team environment
- Able to think critically and identify continuous improvement opportunities
- Ability to partner with site staff and support learning and development practices
