The Role
  • Participate in the development, implementation and maintenance of the MSD Work Health Safety Environment Plan, Supplier Safety, Environmental and Quality Assurance program.
  • Monitor internal safety compliance and assurance metrics, including the collation, analysis and identification of trends in WHS incident data.
  • Provide WHSE continual improvement of practices to mitigate risks and Identify and respond to stakeholders' needs and expectations related to WHSE matters to achieve MSD and Defence outcomes.
  • Deliver WHSE support and advice to Business Units, agencies and other departments.
  • As a team leader or member, provide support to Business Units for risk analysis, WHS supplier safety, environmental and Quality assurance planning and investigations.
  • Research legislative, Defence policies and other organisational requirements and process to support investigations and recommend viable solutions and prevention strategies to address WHSE issues.
  • Develop briefs, minutes and reports as required.
  • Represent the Directorate of Maritime Work Health and Safety Environment as required.
