Are you passionate about baking and ready to take the next step in your career? Van Dough 1 Pty Ltd is looking for a couple of experienced Bakers and PastryCooks to join our team on a full-time basis.

About the Role:

As a Baker and PastryCook, you will play a key role in crafting high-quality bread, pastries, and baked goods. This is a hands-on position in a fast-paced bakery where consistency, quality, and efficiency are highly valued.

Key Tasks/Responsibilities:

· Maintaining the cleanliness of machines, tools and premises and abiding by company policies and procedures in relation to WHS (Workplace Health and Safety) and Food Safety to ensure a safe working environment for customers, staff and contractors.

· Kneading, maturing, cutting, moulding, mixing and shaping dough for bread, cakes, and patisseries from scratch.

· Operating machines that roll and mould dough and associated products while focus being on consistency

· coordinating the forming, loading, baking, unloading, de-panning and cooling of batches of bread, rolls and pastry products

· Monitoring oven temperatures and product appearance to determine baking times and ensure quality at all times.

· Checking the cleanliness of equipment and operation of premises before production runs to ensure compliance with Occupational health and safety regulations

· Emptying, cleaning and greasing baking trays, tins and other cooking equipment

· Training and assisting junior team members.

· Prepare the list of raw materials and order with suppliers.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Baker/PastryCook in a commercial bakery.

Strong knowledge of baking techniques and food safety regulations.

Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and public holidays as required.

A positive attitude and strong work ethic.

Ability to work efficiently in a team environment.

Minimum 2 years of experience.

Cert III in Baking / Patisserie.
