Project / Technical Engineer: Bridges

What you'll Bring

  • Bachelor of Civil/Structural Engineering with a minimum 2 years' experience, with a solid background in either project engineering, bridge design engineering or bridge asset management
  • Ability to produce accurate and detailed records of inspections, project management or design outputs
  • Passion for best practises and continuous improvement, a strong eye for detail and dedicated commitment to effective WHS practices.
  • Organisational and time management skills.
  • Commitment to continued professional development.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • A keen problem-solving mindset, a can-do attitude and be willing to work and travel into rural environments with potential to be working at heights and in confined spaces on some projects.
  • Ability to contribute to the team and nurture a supportive environment for other staff members.
  • You will be a permanent resident of Australia or hold/be progressing towards, Australian Citizenship and have a valid Australian drivers licence.

With flexibility of working locations available for the right candidate, we are ideally looking for someone who is keen to transition from a project engineering background into a more technically orientated work profile focused on the management of bridges. Initially the candidate will be trained to undertake bridge inspections which over time will transform into a project management role with more opportunities to engage in technical design and/or asset management.
