About the Role:
We're seeking an Undergraduate or Graduate Mechanical Engineer to join our growing Engineering Department. You'll play an important role in delivering engineering designs and supporting projects from concept through to completion.
You'll collaborate with our estimating and workshop management teams to ensure accurate, efficient, and compliant outcomes — perfect for someone passionate about hands-on engineering in a dynamic industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce detailed engineering drawings, plans, and designs to specification.
- Calculate material and equipment requirements and assist with cost estimates.
- Collaborate with engineers, suppliers, and clients to define requirements.
- Use CAD and 3D modelling tools to create precise drawings and layouts.
- Review sketches and plans with the engineering and management teams.
- Identify design improvements to enhance performance and efficiency.
- Ensure all designs comply with relevant regulations and quality standards.
- Maintain strong safety standards and uphold company values.
About You:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or currently completing final year).
- Experience in a drafting or similar technical role (preferred but not essential).
- Proficiency in CAD and familiarity with 3D modelling tools.
- Must have Trade Experience.
- Strong mathematical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Excellent communication and attention to detail.
- Willingness to learn 3D scanning (training provided).
Eligibility:
- Must have full working rights in Australia.
- This is a local Paget-based role – not a FIFO position.
- Sponsorship is not available for this role.
