About the role
Gubi Gabun Childrens Mobile Service Inc. is seeking a passionate and dedicated Play Session Facilitator to join our team. In this casual role, you will be responsible for designing and delivering engaging play-based learning sessions for children in the Armidale NSW 2350 area. The successful candidate will have a natural affinity for working with young learners and a commitment to supporting their social, emotional, and cognitive development through play. This position may lead to a permanent part time position in 2026.
What you'll be doing
- Facilitate interactive play sessions that promote learning, creativity, and physical activity
- Develop and implement age-appropriate activities, games, and learning experiences
- Observe children's progress, providing feedback to parents and caregivers
- Ensure a safe and nurturing environment for all participants
- Collaborate with the wider team to continuously improve the play session program
- Adhere to all relevant policies, procedures, and safety guidelines
What we're looking for
- Experience working with children in an educational or recreational setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire young learners
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
- Demonstrated creativity and problem-solving skills
- Genuine passion for supporting children's development and wellbeing
- Relevant qualifications in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field are desirable but not essential.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain
- Working with Children Check clearance
