As part of Fortescue's continued growth and commitment to operational excellence, we are seeking an Water Well Drilling Offsider to join our dynamic team. This role plays a vital part in supporting our drilling operations, contributing to Fortescue's vision of being the safest, lowest-cost, and most profitable iron ore producer. Working in a highly collaborative and safety-focused environment, you'll assist in maintaining the efficiency and reliability of our drilling activities while upholding the highest standards of safety and performance across site operations.
Key Responsibilities- Operate drill rig support (mobile plant) equipment in accordance with the manufacture's (OEM) specifications and Fortescue's procedures.
- Identify when consumables and supplies are to be ordered to ensure the continuous operation of the rig.
- Attend and actively participate in toolbox & safety meetings to ensure work safe compliance and identify deficiencies and action plans.
- Maintain & operate vehicles, tools and equipment to company standard to ensure the continuous operation of the rig.
- Deliver general tasks by keeping drilling area clean and tidy to ensure hazards are identified /mitigated & follow all drilling safe work instruction (SWI).
- Participate in water well drilling industry pathway training.
- Conduct manual labour duties in an outdoor environment.
- Hold a current MC licence.
- Hold a current LF high risk work licence.
- First Aid certification
- Operate and Maintain a Four-Wheel Drive Vehicle
- Cert 2 in Drilling
- DG/CN high risk license
- High level of safety awareness and orientation.
- Ability to work well in a team and unsupervised.
- At least 12 months experience working on Waterwell drill rigs or 2 years in other drilling disciplines.
