The
Product Analyst - Data Analytics team
is responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of high-performing, consolidated data assets within the SLHD Enterprise Data Lake, AI products and Power BI. The role ensures healthcare data is accurate, timely, and accessible for clinicians, executives, and partner organisations, while maintaining strong data governance and compliance with security and privacy standards.

The Product Analyst undertakes both
project and operational responsibilities
. Project activities include developing new data pipelines, advanced reporting solutions, and dashboards, with a particular focus to support clinical and operational decision-making. Operational activities include managing data quality, optimising extract-transform-load (ETL) processes, and providing user support for reporting platforms such as
Snowflake and Power BI.
The position requires demonstrated experience with
Cerner EMR systems
and related data structures, along with strong SQL and data integration skills to extract, transform, and integrate clinical and administrative data into the EDL.

The Product Analyst will also provide education, training, and knowledge transfer to clinicians, analysts, and administrative staff, while actively participating as a member of multi-disciplinary teams. This includes close collaboration with clinicians, data engineers, digital health teams, and external stakeholders to deliver innovative, data-driven solutions for the district.

Ideal Candidate

  • Strong experience in data analysis, integration, and reporting within large and complex healthcare environments.
  • Demonstrated analytical expertise to support clinical and operational decision-making.
  • Proven knowledge and hands-on experience with Cerner EMR systems and related data structures.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Snowflake, and Power BI (or similar enterprise reporting and analytics tools).
  • A strong understanding of data governance, quality management, security, and compliance frameworks in healthcare.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse and optimise complex data pipelines and reporting systems.
  • Experience working in multi-disciplinary teams, with strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • A commitment to continuous learning and the ability to train, educate, and support staff in the use of data and analytics tools.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Digital Health, Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, Pharmacy, or a related discipline (postgraduate qualifications in Data Science or Digital Health will be highly regarded) or experience.
