About The Opportunity
Programmed Group Services is seeking an experienced Injury management advisor to join our dedicated Workers Compensation team based at our Collins Square office in Melbourne.
Within this full-time position, your primary focus will be to build strong relationships with injured workers, operational teams across multiple sites, and third-party providers, while coordinating and facilitating safe and timely return-to-work outcomes.
Unlike purely office-based roles, this position will see you frequently out in the field visiting work sites and meeting in-person with medical providers to ensure proactive and compassionate injury management.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote the goal of zero injuries.
- Ensure that all injured employees return to work and are assisted towards a restoration of full function as early as possible after their injury.
- Maintain regular meaningful contact with injured employees.
- Ensure all claims and claim files are maintained in a timely way, to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and statutory authorities.
- Work closely with relevant operational divisions to understand suitable duties and practicalities, and to remove barriers to meaningful return to work.
- Liaise proactively with internal and external stakeholders, and Programmed HSE teams, for shared responsibility of injuries and prevention to work well.
- Work effectively with various divisions, medical providers, injured employees, Insurers and legal providers.
- Demonstrate an ongoing commitment to your personal and professional development, and that of others in your team at Programmed.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have experience across Worker's Compensation and Return to Work processes, an unwavering motivation for meeting and exceeding outcomes, and a natural aptitude for first-class stakeholder engagement. Additionally, you will demonstrate and possess the following:
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across all levels.
Strong skills in negotiation, conflict resolution, and active listening.
Proven ability to develop and manage Return to Work Plans, in line with Programmed's injury management policies and procedures.
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, with excellent time management and organizational skills.
Completed accredited Vic Return to Work Coordinator (RTWC) course (Desirable)
Confidence in working with injured workers, medical providers, insurers, and legal professionals, as well as an understanding of business demands in RTW process.
Industry experience in transport, logistics, construction, or manufacturing, with multi-site exposure. (Highly regarded)
