About the role

This is a full-time opportunity for a skilled and experienced Qualified Baker / Pastry Chef to join the team at Ready Bake Pty Ltd in Virginia, QLD. As a specialist Baker & Pastry Chef, you will play a vital role in creating high-quality goods for our growing customer base.

What you'll be doing

  1. Prepare differing baked and unbaked pastries, to exacting company standards.
  2. Operate high quality pastry production equipment sourced from world leading suppliers in Europe.
  3. Ensure all products meet quality and presentation requirements
  4. Work within a team to achieve production and quality goals.
  5. Assist in the development of new recipes and products
  6. Maintain a clean and organised work environment
  7. Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external clients
  8. Mentor junior staff as required

What we're looking for

  1. Formal qualifications in baking, pastry or patisserie, such as a Certificate III in Baking or equivalent
  2. Minimum 1-2 years' experience as a qualified baker or pastry chef, preferably in a commercial bakery setting
  3. Demonstrated ability to work efficiently and accurately to produce a high volume of quality baked goods
  4. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to food safety and hygiene standards
  5. Excellent communication and customer service skills
  6. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment
  7. A passion for baking and creating delicious products
  8. Must have Australian citizenship, permanent residency, or valid work visa with appropriate work rights
