St Thomas More College is a Brisbane Catholic Education co-educational secondary college catering for approximately 1030 students. Summary

Assist in the day-to-day operations of the retail facility, ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently We are seeking a casual professional and friendly barista offering hours per week, to join our school café team, providing quality service and contributing to a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors.

• Salary: $40.6 per hour + Super (Casual Rate)

About the opportunity

In this position you will be responsible for:

• Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages in accordance with food safety standards
• Provide friendly and efficient customer serivce, handling transactions and inquiries professionally
• Assisting with preparing orders and storing them in accordance with procedures and guidelines as directed
• Helping to maintain adequate stock levels to meet requirements, including the ordering, receiving, storing and stocktakes
• Assisting with the daily cleaning to ensure high standards of presentation and usability
• Ensuring stock is presentable and displayed appropriately

About you

To be successful in this position you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience including:

• Expeirenced barista and/or customer service experience with the ability to operate a coffee machine
• Experience in maintaining cleanliness and organisation of cafe including equipment, counters and surrounding area and storage areas
• Skilled in managing stock levels, ordering, receiving, and conducting stocktakes
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in taking order
• For this position you are not required to be Catholic

Eligibility and Safeguarding requirements:

• Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment
• Hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card prior to commencement.
