Warehouse/Offsider

Your new company

Your new company is a national leading distributor of building supplies who take pride in their ability to provide their customers with quality service and products. They are looking for offsiders to assist with on-site deliveries and managing stock in the warehouse across their Fyshwick or Mitchell site.

Your new role

As an offsider, you'll be required to:

• Travel in the truck to various job sites across ACT and surrounds
• Physically load and unload plasterboard and other building materials with the assistance of others, who will travel in the truck with you to sites.
• Be professional and polite when liaising with site contacts
• Have a strong focus on Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S)
• Assist with managing stock and packing deliveries in the warehouse when not out on the road.

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful for this position, you'll need:

• To be reliable and keen to show up for work each day, no matter the weather conditions
• A current White Card, Asbestos Awareness and Silica Awareness card
• To be able to successfully pass a drug and alcohol screening as this client conducts random screenings
• This role involves manual handling of large items, you'll need to be physically fit, capable and willing to complete such tasks
• An up-to-date resume including your experience and relevant licenses

What you'll get in return

If successful, you will have an ASAP start and get your foot in the door with a reputable and growing business on a casual to full-time basis, being paid $34 an hour. For the right applicant, there is also the potential to become a permanent employee at the end of the contract. Personally, you will receive a weekly pay check with above award wages and all industry allowances.
