About the role

Interact Australia has recently won a National Panel of Assessors services contract and will be operating with Mas National across a number of regions in Adelaide, SA and Sydney, NSW. We are proud to be providing specialised assessments and support to ensure people with disability have fair access to training and employment opportunities.

As an NPA Assessor with Interact Australia partner Mas National, you will deliver independent, evidence-based workplace assessments to support people with disability in achieving and sustaining meaningful employment. Working within the National Panel of Assessors program, you will ensure fair, transparent, and compliant outcomes while fostering inclusive and accessible workplaces for people with disability.

Your key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Conducting Supported Wage System (SWS) assessments to provide accurate productivity-based wage evaluations.
  • Delivering Ongoing Support Assessments (OSA) to help participants maintain long-term employment.
  • Undertaking Workplace Modifications Services (WMS) assessments to recommend practical adjustments and assistive technologies.
  • Preparing timely, detailed, and accurate assessment reports.
  • Collaborating with employers, employment service providers, and allied health professionals.
  • Ensuring all services meet the National Standards for Disability Services and relevant legislative requirements.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement of assessment practices and processes.

About You

You are a qualified allied health professional with a passion for supporting people with disability to access and thrive in meaningful employment. You bring strong assessment skills, professional integrity, and a commitment to delivering fair, transparent, and compliant outcomes.

To succeed in this role, you will be confident in:

  • A Diploma or higher qualification in one of the following (or related) fields:
  • Rehabilitation Counselling,
  • Occupational Therapy,
  • Physiotherapy,
  • Nursing,
  • Psychology/Psychiatry,
  • Orthoptics/Optometry,
  • Audiology,
  • Exercise Physiology, or
  • Vocational Training.
  • Minimum two years' experience in disability employment, workplace productivity assessments, or a related sector.
  • Strong IT proficiency and ability to adapt to new systems quickly.
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent time management skills and attention to detail.
  • Current driver's licence and willingness to travel for assessments.
  • Current National Police Check, NDIS Worker Screening, and Working with Children Check (or ability to obtain).
  • Professional Indemnity Insurance.

Candidates with relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience within the Employment Services, Training, Rehabilitation or a similar type sector are highly desirable

Please note:The successful candidate will be required to participate in an Australian Federal Police check, NDIS Quality and Safeguards Worker Screening and a Working with Children Check, prior to confirmation of appointment to the position.

The successful candidate will also be required to demonstrate entitlement to work in Australia, and to disclose any pre-existing injury or disease which may be adversely affected by undertaking the inherent requirements of the position.
