Blackfriars Priory School is seeking passionate and dedicated Primary Teachers to join our school community in 2026.

This is an exciting opportunity to inspire and support students in their learning journey within a faith-based environment that upholds the Dominican pillars of Prayer, Study, Community, and Service.

Positions available:

  • 1 x Permanent Full-Time Position (FTE 1.0)
  • 2 x Full-Time 12-Month Contract Positions (FTE 1.0)

Commencement: January 2026


Key Responsibilities

As a valued member of our teaching team, you will:

  • Establish routines and structures that promote a productive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
  • Implement evidence-based teaching strategies to support student growth, particularly in literacy and numeracy.
  • Create and maintain a safe, supportive classroom environment underpinned by strong behaviour management.
  • Design and implement differentiated learning programs, including the development of Personalised Plans for Learning as required.
  • Monitor, assess, and document student progress through established reporting and assessment frameworks.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to contribute to a professional learning community that values innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Build positive relationships with students, families, and staff to support the development and wellbeing of every child.
  • Handle confidential information with professionalism and integrity, in line with school and CESA policies.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school through co-curricular activities and community engagement.

About You

We are looking for enthusiastic and committed educators who:

  • Demonstrate a commitment to Catholic Education and a willingness to contribute to the spiritual and community life of the school.
  • Possess a strong understanding of primary education, child development, and inquiry-based learning approaches.
  • Have excellent classroom management skills and the ability to foster a positive, supportive learning environment.
  • Are effective communicators who engage well with students, families, and colleagues.
  • Embrace collaboration and professional learning as part of their ongoing practice.
  • Hold current Teacher Registration in South Australia, a valid Working with Children Check, RRHAN-EC training, and First Aid certification.
