Southern Cross Farms is an innovative farm management company based in Mildura.  We currently manage farms in the Sunraysia, Riverina, Moreton Bay and Riverland regions.

Southern Cross Farms Operations Pty Ltd ATF SCF Unit Trust are currently seeking an experienced Horticulture Grower to perform duties at property Eureka Farming Australia, Leeton NSW. This property is located in the Riverina Region and is planted to citrus.

The role would suit a Horticulture Grower who would like to undertake a hands-on role to all aspects of the farm's operations.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The successful applicant will be responsible for running and supervising the farms operations activities and labour management.

Responsibilities will include:

• Manage and supervise all aspects of daily farm operations, including but not limited to irrigation, fertigation, pest control, weed control and harvesting.
• Oversee the maintenance and repair of farm machinery, equipment, irrigation and facilities to ensure safe and efficient operations.
• Maintain compliance with workplace health & safety, HR policies, food safety and environmental objectives.
• Maintaining and evaluating records of farming activities such as spray diaries and irrigation/fertigation schedules.
• Staff supervision and contract labour management.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

• 3 years previous experience in citrus production is preferred
• Experience in farm operations and management is essential
• Chemical User Certificate
• Computer literacy – Microsoft Office Suite

EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS:

• Probation period will apply.
• Pre-Employment Medical and Drug & Alcohol screening.
• Current drivers' licence is required.
