  • Support the Executive Producer in creating audience-focused content.
  • Research, develop and script news stories.
  • Identify compelling stories and angles that resonate with our viewers.
  • Uphold journalistic integrity, maintaining high standards of ethics and legal compliance.
  • Contribute to the delivery of news across 11.30am, 4pm, 5.30pm and 6pm bulletins.
  • Excel under pressure, assisting with rolling coverage during breaking news events.
  • Operate in the control room environment to bring broadcasts to air.
  • Manage multiple projects, prioritising tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Champion multiplatform strategies, integrating content across digital, social, and traditional media.
  • Cultivate a positive newsroom, fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment.
QualificationsWhat you'll bring:
  • Strong knowledge of news and current affairs.
  • Experience in TV, radio, or other news media.
  • Strong communication and broadcast writing skills.
  • Creative, out-of-the-box thinking.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Understanding of media and broadcast law.
  • Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
