Felton International Group, a leading brand in aluminium outdoor furniture, is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Storeperson/ Packing and Dispatch Team Leader to oversee warehouse operations. This role is responsible for coordinating the receiving, handling, packing, and dispatch of goods, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring all activities comply with safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate will also lead a small team, ensuring operational efficiency and adherence to company procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

1. **Receiving and Inventory Control:

  • Supervise the receipt of incoming goods, check for damage and discrepancies against invoices.
  • Operate computer systems to track stock levels, item locations, and stock movement.
  • Label goods with storage location details and ensure correct storage to minimise handling damage.

2. **Packing and Dispatch Operations:

  • Oversee the packing of goods, ensuring accurate order picking, weighing, sealing, and labelling of packages.
  • Ensure goods are packed according to shipping specifications and company standards.
  • Coordinate dispatch schedules and ensure timely delivery through liaison with transport providers.
  • Ensure all dispatch documentation, such as picking slips and shipping labels, is completed accurately.

3. **Use of Equipment:

  • Operate materials handling equipment such as pallet jacks, hydraulic lifters, and order pickers to move, lift, and store goods.
  • Ensure safe operation of lifting machinery and equipment, particularly for high-level storage.

4. **Team Supervision:

  • Lead and support warehouse team members by providing training, assigning duties, and monitoring performance.
  • Set daily goals, conduct reviews, and provide feedback to improve team output and accuracy.

5. **Stocktake and Reporting:

  • Assist with regular stocktakes and reconciliation of inventory discrepancies.
  • Maintain detailed logs of warehouse activities and report to management on inventory, dispatch issues, and team performance.

6. **Safety and Process Improvement:

  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols, PPE use, and warehouse operating procedures.
  • Identify risks and recommend operational improvements to enhance safety and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline logistics and reduce errors.

Experience:

  • At least 3-5 years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 1-2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Strong experience in packing, dispatching, and inventory control processes.
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and basic knowledge of logistics operations.

Skills:

  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Forklift licence
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.) and warehouse management software.

Working Conditions:

  • Full-time position, with occasional overtime as required.
  • Physical work environment in a warehouse setting, requiring the ability to lift and carry items, stand for extended periods, and operate warehouse equipment.
