We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated mechanical, electrical, electronics engineer to join Ivory Egg (Aust) Pty Ltd, a leading international distributor of open standards, building controls.

This role will assist us to deliver our growth strategy within Australia and New Zealand.

We are looking for a talented, enthusiastic and technically capable engineer, who will thrive on the challenge of working alongside our technical sales team within the dynamic and fast growing, smart home/smart buildings marketplace.

Tasks Include:

  • Perform building control systems architecture reviews and assessments, and recommend hardware and software design strategies, to support our Ivory Egg teams
  • Test, identify and diagnose functionality errors and faults in products, systems, and programming code using established testing protocols, guidelines and quality standards
  • Conduct technical inspections of customer returns and maintain appropriate records and documentation
  • Analyse, evaluate and diagnose technical issues with configuration, physical installation, and maintenance of products and systems
  • Identify variations and potential risks in compliance with standards and installation procedures
  • Recommend corrective actions and improvements for the resolution of non-compliance
  • Develop and provide technical guidance and training in network programming, commissioning and operating procedures
  • Deliver accredited KNX training courses and other approved training courses
  • Create and review technical documentation such as procedural, instructional and operational guides and manuals, technical reports and specifications

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering within a Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics or similar discipline
  • Minimum of three (3) years experience working with open standards, building controls systems
  • KNX Tutor accreditation
