Role Description
This is a full-time Quality Inspector role based in Croydon South, VIC. The Quality Inspector will be responsible for ensuring product quality, implementing quality control measures, managing quality assurance processes, and assisting in quality management activities on-site.
Qualifications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in work
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Certificate IV in Engineering
- Familiarity with ISO9001 standards
Duties
- Quality Inspection: Conduct First Off/ Last Off, routine inspections and tests on materials, components, and finished products to ensure they meet specified quality standards.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of inspections, test results, and quality checks in compliance with industry standards and company policies.
- Data Analysis: Assist in the collection and analysis of data related to product quality, identifying trends or areas for improvement..
- Non-Conformance Reports: Assist in the preparation of non-conformance reports and corrective action plans for products that do not meet quality standards.
- Collaboration: Work closely with manufacturing teams to address quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Process Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing processes and product quality.
- Quality Audits: Support internal and external audits related to quality standards (including ISO9001 and ISO14001) and assist in implementing recommendations.
- Training Support: Assist in training production staff on quality standards and best practices for quality assurance.
- Supplier Quality Management: Help evaluate and qualify suppliers based on their ability to meet quality standards.
- Problem-Solving: Participate in root cause analysis of quality issues and contribute to developing solutions.
- Customer Feedback: Support in the review of customer complaints regarding product quality, collaborating with relevant teams to address concerns.
- Compliance Monitoring: Monitor compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements throughout the manufacturing process.
- Usage of Quality Tools: Utilise quality management tools and software to track quality metrics and ensure accurate reporting.
- Team Support: Provide general support the team as needed.
