About the role

Activated Aluminium Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Boiler Maker/sheet metal worker to join our skilled team in Peakhurst, NSW. This full-time role will see you contribute to the manufacturing and maintenance of high-quality aluminium products for our diverse client base.

What you'll be doing

  1. Operate machinery to cut, bend, weld and assemble sheet metal components
  2. Interpret technical drawings and specifications to fabricate aluminium products
  3. Perform maintenance and repairs on production equipment
  4. Ensure that all work is carried out to the highest safety and quality standards
  5. Work collaboratively with the production team to meet deadlines and targets

What we're looking for

  1. Formal qualifications in Boiler Making or a relevant metal fabrication trade. Fabrication is completed using MIG welding knowledge and experience with TIG would be an advantage.
  2. Certificate IV qualification is required for this position.
  3. Minimum 3 years' hands-on experience as a Boiler Maker/sheet metal worker who has minimum of 2 years' experience in working with aluminium
  4. Specialised experience exclusively in aluminium fabrication is essential for this role.
  5. Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications
  6. Competent in the use of metal fabrication machinery and equipment
  7. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety and quality
  8. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  9. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  10. Desired but not essential understanding of fabricating fencing, balustrades and screens.
  11. Permanent residency status is required for this position.
