We're currently seeking an Assistant Planner to join our Merchandise Planning team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about retail planning, numbers, and strategy to build their career within a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

What You'll Do
As our Assistant Planner, you'll support the Merchandise Planning Leads in developing and executing financial and merchandise strategies that drive sales, margin, and inventory performance.You'll work closely with Buying, Supply Chain, and Retail Operations teams to optimise product assortments and ensure the right stock is in the right place at the right time.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in the development of merchandise financial plans and budgets.
  • Supporting range planning and open-to-buy management.
  • Conducting analysis and forecasting to optimise stock, sales, and profitability.
  • Partnering with buyers on seasonal planning, pricing, and promotional activity.
  • Collaborating with supply and allocation teams to maintain optimal stock flow.
  • Preparing post-seasonal analysis and contributing to future category strategies.

What We're Seeking

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in merchandise or retail planning.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with advanced Excel capability.
  • Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
  • Collaborative, proactive, and eager to learn.
  • Relevant qualification in Business, Planning, or Supply Chain (advantageous).
  • Experience in furniture, homewares, or bulky goods retail (desirable).
