Client

Our client is a leading, proudly family-owned and operated business that specialises in the formulation, manufacture and distribution of both bulk and packaged feed products for a range of poultry and livestock. A vacancy has arisen due to the retirement of the long-serving Production Manager.

Role & Responsibilities

Duties include the following:

  • Manage the stockfeed process from raw ingredient procurement through to delivery of end product. Stockfeed products include grain, grain mixes, mineral licks, liquid feeds, hay, proprietary stockfeed and wholesale purchased stockfeed
  • Forecasting of seasonal product purchasing
  • Ensure that all safety and compliance regulations and processes are followed both on and off-site, including, but not limited to, workplace health and safety, road safety, property biosecurity, and personal safety
  • Manage quality control and traceability

Requirements

  • Hands-on feed milling experience, preferably with pelleting experience
  • Prior experience leading a small manufacturing team
  • The ability to establish and meet production budgets
  • Experience in overseeing quality systems and site workplace safety

Remuneration and Location

The remuneration is very attractive for this role and fully reflects the crucial role that this person will play within the business. The plant is located in Western Sydney.
