Alluvial is looking for suitably skilled and experienced Mainframe Programmers for a large Federal Government Department.
Role Overview
Develop complex applications and solutions using mainframe technologies including PL/1 and CICS.
Producing new and updating existing technical documentation;
Providing technical advice and support to business analysts, solution architects, testers and other various stakeholders;
Developing, maintaining and performing unit testing of system components;
Troubleshooting production system incidents, problems and defects;
Building and managing relationships with internal and external clients, stakeholders and service providers;
Be a part of the 24x7 support team. Providing out of hours support, including a requirement to be on call, on a rostered basis.
Selection Criteria
Minimum 5+ years' experience working with Mainframe technologies; Desirable to have PL/1 and CICS experience.
Technical expertise working in production environments and projects with agile methodologies;
Demonstrated analysis, design and development skills;
Ability to work autonomously and to provide technical expertise;
Excellent communication and decision making skills;
Ability to deal with complex situations under pressure;
Contract Term
- Contract period of 5 Months (starting Mid Jan June 30)
- Applicants MUST be Australian citizens.
- Located onsite in Canberra, ACT
- NV1 Clearance (or ability to obtain)
