The Mt Cuthbert Group is a privately owned, Australian-based copper and gold Company with extensive exploration assets in NW Queensland. Mt Cuthbert Group acquired the Leichhardt Project in 2013, located at the remote Mount Cuthbert Mine, near the township of Kajabbi, Northwest Queensland, and situated approx. 110km northeast of Mount Isa. We're currently seeking motivated individuals to join our dedicated team as we look to further develop and operate this site. Reporting to the Exploration Manager you will be responsible for assisting the Geologist with ongoing field programmes and various duties around the mine site.

Key responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:

  • Physically demanding work in remote location and potentially hot and humid conditions
  • Soil Sampling
  • Rock sampling and mapping with geologists
  • RC sampling and diamond core processing
  • Drill rig supervision and management
  • Timely and accurate data collection and entry
  • Assist and support Geologists with other site activities as required.

About you:

  • At least 5 + years exploration field assistant experience (essential)
  • A "self starter" that is always looking for ways to do things better
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work in remote locations
  • Current drivers license
  • 4WD ticket (desirable).
  • ·Senior First Aid(desirable)

The role is a 14/14 FIFO position from Brisbane Townsville or Cairns or DIDO from Mt Isa or Cloncurry only, with meals and accommodation provided at the site camp.
