As an Associate, you will play a crucial role in growing CommBank Health's market share and brand. Reporting to the Executive Manager – Portfolio & Policy Optimisation, you will assist with the day-to-day management of the portfolio, researching and reporting on data obtained to support our engagement with various healthcare segments, including medicos, allied healthcare, pharmacy, specialist disability accommodation, and seniors living.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide data, research and reporting support to CommBank health team, including sourcing of external information (news, industry insights, proposed legislative changes, competitors), strategic activities and data trends to assist with policy development.
  • Use data and research to provide insights and information to assist with industry changes and assess potential impacts.
  • Build a network of internal contacts to provide industry knowledge and insights for industry-focused presentations, industry reviews, and internal reporting documents.
  • Provide direction and guidance to the Business/Support Units and/or subsidiaries on the Group Policy Framework and policy development, management, and governance.
  • Conduct research and update various information sources to ensure accuracy and relevance for both internal and external stakeholders as well as maintaining a compliant framework.
  • Establish and effectively manage relationships and communications with policy stakeholders to achieve the governance and policy outcomes required.
  • Identify areas of support required for frontline teams and deliver training to support the upskilling and capability within the Health industry vertical.

Your skills and experience:

  • Financial Services experience preferably in a Strategy, Risk and/or Compliance business unit.
  • Strong insights and research ability, including solid data and reporting capabilities and familiarity with AI toolkit.
  • Stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, including frontline distribution teams, risk executives, compliance and marketing, external industry bodies, and advisory firms.
  • Strong sense of time management and urgency, with a focus on outcomes.
  • Effective presentation skills, including proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
  • A tertiary qualification in Business/Finance and/or Commerce would be highly regarded.
