Where you'll be working
Inverell District Hospital is a 52-bed facility providing a wide range of services to the North-Western and New England communities of NSW. Our on-campus Community Health Centre extends care through primary health and allied health services, offering an integrated approach to health for our region.
Our services include Emergency, Maternity, Surgical, Paediatric, Outpatients, Ophthalmology, and Renal Dialysis. As a casual Enrolled Nurse, you'll have opportunities to support patient care across a variety of departments, working under the indirect supervision of Registered Nurses and alongside a committed multidisciplinary team.
Set on the picturesque Macintyre River, Inverell — the "Sapphire City" — offers affordable housing, quality schools, and a welcoming community. With stunning national parks, fishing and hiking spots, plus lively cafés and markets, Inverell provides the perfect balance of country lifestyle and professional opportunity.
About The Role
This is a casual position with flexibility across all shifts — day, evening, and night duty. You'll be hands-on in delivering person-centred, evidence-based nursing care — from wound care and medication administration, to supporting patients with daily health needs, documentation and safe clinical practice. Each shift will bring new experiences as you contribute to the smooth running of the hospital and the wellbeing of patients and families.
About You
You are a professional, motivated and flexible Enrolled Nurse who enjoys variety in your work. You bring:
- Practical clinical skills across a range of nursing tasks, with the ability to adapt to different departments.
- A strong commitment to working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Compassion, respect, and professionalism in every interaction.
- Flexibility to work across multiple clinical areas and shifts.
How You'll Be Supported
At Inverell, you'll be supported by Registered Nurses, managers and colleagues who value teamwork, collaboration and mutual respect. You'll be part of a supportive environment where professional growth is encouraged and achievements are celebrated.
The little extras that make us unique
- Funky scrub Fridays (plus other themed days — because work should be fun).
- Staff morning teas and "just because we can" dinners to celebrate our team.
- Plenty of opportunities to pick up extra shifts when clinically required.
