The Role
Engineering Design & Certifications (EDC) is looking for passionate and driven Structural Engineers to contribute to exciting projects from our Gold Coast and Melbourne locations. Key Responsibilities:
· Lead the design and review of steel structures for residential, light commercial, and modular buildings.
· Generate detailed specifications, certification documents, and project reports.
· Perform calculations and modelling using industry-standard software like SpaceGass, Checkwind, and Clearcalcs.
· Resolve any inquiries about design challenges encountered on-site.
· Conduct site inspections and provide technical assistance during construction.
· Engage with drafting teams, clients, and other engineering professionals to ensure seamless project delivery.
About You
· A Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (accredited by Engineers Australia).
· Ideally, 1–6 years of experience applying your skills in steel and modular construction design.
· Demonstrated proficiency in structural analysis software, particularly SpaceGass and Clearcalcs.
· The ability to confidently navigate and interpret engineering drawings using Bluebeam and drafting software.
· A current Australian driver's license.
· A strong grasp of relevant Australian standards (AS/NZS 1170, AS4100, AS4600, AS4055) and building regulations.
· Exceptional communication and collaboration skills to thrive in a team environment.
· A genuine enthusiasm for structural design and a proactive approach to expanding your knowledge.
