Background

Flight Training Adelaide Queensland (FTAQ) has partnered with Qantas Group to provide a professional flight training facility for airline pilots. We provide onsite accommodation for 365 days per year and up to 250 students who live on campus in single storey units. Each unit contains multiple single occupancy bedrooms, shared kitchen, lounge area, bathrooms and laundry.

FTAQ is seeking a Casual Cleaner to join the team at our campus at Wellcamp.

NOTE: Further requirements are listed below:

  • Current clear Australia National Police Check
  • Pre-Employment Drug and Alcohol Test
  • Current Blue Card (Working with Children Check) if requested

Unit cleaning involves:

  • Cleaning mixed gender accommodation units
  • Sweeping, vacuuming and mopping floors
  • Clean accommodation units by emptying trash cans, servicing bathrooms and wiping down communal surfaces
  • Stripping and remaking beds as required
  • Replace and restock towels
  • Deep cleaning of units between occupancy as required
  • Ensure outside walkways remain clear and free of debris
  • Notify building management of any repairs required
  • Mix and dispose of all cleaning solutions appropriately

Hours of Work

Our campus is open 7 days a week with normal hours expected Monday - Friday for this position and as required based on operational necessity.

Location

There is no scheduled bus service to the FTAQ campus and only a limited bus service that stops at Wellcamp Airport. The location of FTAQ campus from Wellcamp Airport is 3.7 km if walking.

Free parking is available on campus, near workplace, therefore, this role will suit someone who has access to private transport due to limited access of public transport.
