Perth, Western Australia MLG Oz Ltd Full time $60,000 - $90,000 per year

We are looking for experienced HD Fitters to join our highly skilled team working on WA/ NT sites. You'll take charge of maintaining and repairing a broad range of our mobile equipment to keep our fleet running at its best.

Machines you'll work on:

  • Kenworth and Mack Trucks
  • Variety of Mobile Plant Equipment - loaders, dozers, graders, dump trucks and more
  • Light Vehicles

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct fault-finding and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems across trucks, mobile plant, light vehicles, and related machinery.
  • Carry out scheduled servicing and inspections to proactively detect and address wear or faults.
  • Strip down and rebuild major components of heavy equipment as required.
  • Diagnose and repair diesel engines, drivetrains, and hydraulic assemblies.
  • Operate diagnostic software and tools to efficiently identify and resolve issues.
  • Record all service, repair, and maintenance activities with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Adhere to all workplace health and safety standards during daily operations.
  • Work closely with other technicians to complete complex tasks and major overhauls.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Australian Recognized Trade Certificate
  • Valid Driver's License (HR Preferred)
  • National Police Clearance (validity is site- dependent)
  • Experience as a Heavy-Duty Mechanic working on trucks, mobile plant, or similar equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, and hydraulic systems.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and schematics.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Commitment to safety.
