Electrical Supervisor

Genesis Minerals is currently seeking an Electrical Supervisor to join our Processing Maintenance team at our Leonora Operations This position will be able to supervise electrical staff, design, test, install, assembly, diagnose and maintenance all electrical related aspects of site equipment and facilities, hold a Nominee position on the In-House Electrical Installing Work Licence.

This role is offered on a balanced 8 days on / 6 days off roster offering either FIFO from Perth, DIDO from Kalgoorlie or residential to Leonora. We are the Genesis of a new growth story in

The opportunity

• To hold a Nominee position on the In-House Electrical Installing Work Licence
• S26 supervisor appointment
• Supervise and manage the electrical team for electrical works; installations, inspections and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment at the Genesis mine sites and accommodation sites
• Ensure statutory inspections of electrical equipment is carried out, maintain accurate and detailed records of compliance recorded in the Electronic Log Book.
• Undertake reviews of scheduled preventative electrical maintenance tasks to ensure relevance and effectiveness and to identify and resolve maintenance issues.
• Ensure electrical maintenance activities are conducted in accordance with specifications, relevant standards and regulatory guidelines
• Ensure all equipment is properly commissioned before being handed back to service and ensure personnel access to all electrical infrastructure and equipment is safe and compliant.
• Liaison and cooperation with supply personnel, mechanical trades, plant supervisors and senior processing staff to ensure optimum equipment performance and availability.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies while performing electrical tasks, including lockout/tagout procedures and arc flash safety

We're excited to hear from you if you have:

• Relevant & recognised Electrical Trade Qualification
• 'A' grade electrical worker's licence
• Held an In-House Electrical Installing Work Licence within the last two years
• S26 Statutory Supervisor certificate
• HV Switching certificate within the last two years
• High Risk Work License: Elevated Work Platform (WP), Forklift (LF)
• Certificate - Provide First Aid within the last three years
• Low Voltage Rescue
• Current unencumbered Australian 'C' Class Driver's Licence (Manual)
• Proven experience as an electrician, preferably in both a Processing Plant & NPI setting
• Awareness of Office of Energy Electrical Requirements, WHS Mines Regulations and AS/NZS 3000wiring Rules and Regulations
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings
