APPRENTICE MECHANIC

Scone / MurrurundiFull-Time – Fixed Term Contract (up to 4 years)

The role:

As an Apprentice Mechanic with the Council, you will be involved in diverse range of mechanical work, gaining valuable hands-on experience under the guidance of highly skilled tradespersons. Your on-the-job training and experience gained undertaking mechanical servicing, inspections, fault diagnosis and repairs, will equip you with the skills and knowledge needed to become a skilled tradesperson. You will also have the unique opportunity of working on a wide variety of plant and equipment including heavy plant.

Upon completion of your apprenticeship you will have earned a trade qualification that is recognised nationally. What's on offer:

-$601.70 – $947.70 commencement salary + 12% super and the opportunity for salary progression

What we need from you:

- Completion of NSW record of School Achievement (RoSA) or pre-apprenticeship

- Provisional or Class C drivers' licence by commencement of employment

- Interest and aptitude in mechanical work and commitment to four-year apprenticeship

- Ability to follow instruction and work productively as a member of a team whilst contributing to team goals

- 2nd and 3rd year apprentices welcome to apply
