About Palmerston College

Palmerston College is a dynamic, multicultural secondary school serving students from Years 7–12 across two campuses. We're expanding to offer a full comprehensive high school program by 2029, combining academic, vocational, and life skills pathways that prepare students for success beyond school.

The Palmerston Special Education Centre (PSEC) is a purpose-built facility designed to meet the diverse needs of students with disabilities, providing modern resources and a team environment focused on inclusion, respect, and achievement.

What we offer

  • Attractive salary between $92,215 and $131,349 (depending on experience)
  • 6 weeks recreation leave and 6 weeks stand down leave per year
  • Relocation assistance and fortnightly relocation allowance (up to $914*/fortnight with dependants)

  • Builds strong relationships with students, families, and colleagues
  • Uses effective teaching strategies and behaviour management practices
  • Is committed to ongoing professional growth and reflective teaching practice

Requirements

  • Current registration with the Teacher Registration Board of the Northern Territory
  • Current Working with Children Notice (Ochre Card)
  • Evidence of successful completion of the National Literacy and Numeracy Test (LANTITE) (for teachers completing ITE after 1 July 2016)
